The present article proposes use of a z-model to validate learning progress after experimenting on student’s performance. A statistical map of z-values is used to calculate the z-value. This paper is divided into two parts - First examine the students' learning outcomes in various computer science and engineering (CSE) subjects during regular classroom instruction as well as examine the students by an interactive learning model in which traditional classroom instruction and e-learning modules are combined and then, the second part administers a related exam to the same group of students. Z-test is used as a tool for evaluating the results. Based on the findings we found that students' performance increased dramatically after incorporating an e-learning module into their classroom instruction. The e-learning module has now been introduced into the classroom. Each subject would have a separate test paper with a higher degree of difficulty. It has been found that a substantial increase in the learning outcome of the students after Appling the proposed approach.

This case study seeks to understand workplace wellness activities in organizations in Southern Indiana and Greater Louisville. Utilizing the Center for Disease Control (CDC) Workplace Wellness Health Scorecard, a 125-question survey that covers a diverse set of workplace wellness initiatives, twenty-four organizations participated in the study, with one to four participants from each organization. This study looks at the question of context and how an organization’s supports impacts the health of their workforce. The results found that leveraging the knowledge of experts, implementing a variety of wellness programs, removing obstacles to wellness, and having a caring attitude toward employees lead to a higher score regarding organizational supports on the CDC Health Scorecard.

The enormous increase of data traffic generated by mobile devices emanate challenges for both internet service providers (ISP) and content service provider (CSP). The objective of this paper is to propose the cost-efficient design for content delivery that selects the best cache server to store repeatedly accessed contents. The proposed strategy considers both caching and transmission costs. To achieve the equilibrium of transmission cost and caching cost, a weighted cost model based on entropy-weighting-method (EWM) is proposed. Then, an adaptive cache server selection and resource allocation strategy based on deep-reinforcement-learning (DRL) is proposed to place the cache on best edge server closer to end-user. The proposed method reduces the cost of service delivery under the constraints of meeting server storage capacity constraints and deadlines. The simulation experiments show that the proposed strategy can effectively improve the cache-hit rate and reduce the cache-miss rate and content access costs.

Machine learning is one such technique that is employed to predict the fertility of the soil in agriculture. ensemble machine learning techniques aim to create meta-classifiers to produce better predictive performance. The primary focus of this paper is to analyze the soil data that is collected from the soil testing laboratory to predict fertility from a collected dataset by using multiple ensemble machine learning algorithms such as bagging, boosting, and stacking for better prediction, accuracy, and higher consistency. The soil fertility classes were evaluated using 10 selected attributes. Measurements of different soil parameters have been used for predicting soil fertility. The experimental result shows that the boosting method on the C5.0 algorithm achieved higher accuracy than other ensemble classifiers with 98.15%.

The main aim of this study is to explore the gender gap in online shopping in the Turkish population. The gender gap in internet use and online shopping is investigated using the results of annual national surveys on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Usage in Households and by Individuals by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat). The study results reveal that females in Turkey tend to be on the wrong side of the digital divide. Even though internet use has increased over the years in the Turkish population, there remains a significant and persistent gap between females and males in internet use and online shopping. It is also found that there are differences between females and males in the purpose of internet use and the type of goods purchased online.

This exploratory study examines factors which are expected to be significantly correlated with Trust and Distrust in social commerce (SC). Unlike other studies, Trust and Distrust are explored as separate dimensions rather than extreme values of a single dimension. Using data from a sample of 662 SC users all of the factors were found to be significantly correlated with Trust or Distrust and the results were the same for males and females. The findings support the idea that Trust and Distrust may be conceptualized as different dimensions. New findings related mainly to correlations: with Distrust, involving cultural characteristics and personality traits, and between Trust and Age, Education, and SC Experience. Practical implications identified factors that may be influenced by practitioners to decrease distrust or increase trust as well as factors that define profiles of consumers with different levels of trust and distrust.

In multihomed devices, Multipath Transmission Control Protocol is a transport layer protocol that allows TCP segments to be sent over several paths. We look at several Multipath TCP schedulers in this study and highlight some current outstanding concerns including head-of-line blocking, bandwidth aggregation, and out-of-order packets. The majority of these difficulties degrade MPTCP performance, which may be improved by constructing an MPTCP scheduler properly. Then, utilizing the bandwidth of all potential routes, we develop a novel MPTCP packet scheduler dubbed a Fast path reservation scheduler that not only helps to solve the aforesaid problems, but also delivers optimal throughput with a short execution time. The size of the receiver buffer or the size of the data being transmitted have no effect on the performance of FPRS, which transmits packets of data to the receiver in the order they were received. Both empirically and analytically, we show that the suggested scheduler outperforms the competition.

This research brings the relationships of human and technology interactions to the forefront in the delivery of an event and focuses upon the description of the various elements and their relationships within the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model. An online survey method was used to investigate the applicability of the model amongst 276 respondents and examine relationships between various existing UTAUT variables with the addition of two variables viz Hedonic Motivations and Anxiety. The results of this study support the model and indicated that Performance Expectancy, Facilitating Conditions, and Social Influence are strong determinants of the use of virtual live events. These findings substantiate earlier research findings that show the relevance of the social context in technology adoption. This study is among the first to use the UTAUT model in the context of event technology and entertainment, especially in the developing country context.

The main purpose of this empirical study was to investigate the effects of blended learning on students’ learning attitude and critical thinking. Secondarily to probe into teachers’ perceptions on blending potentials in an underprivileged elementary classroom. A design study was conducted among 50 children from a fifth standard class of a government-run Indian elementary school. Findings revealed a significant difference in students' learning attitude towards the designed courses between the two cycles, in favour of the post blended implantation stage. This difference, which emerged during ten weeks, was found gender-neutral. The blended model was more effective for inspiring students’ critical thinking compared to the traditional learning model. Further, this study exclusively reports a positive correlation between students’ learning attitude and critical thinking faculties. The study concludes that blending was more effective for students’ learning attitude and critical thinking even in a school with poor technological infrastructure and underprepared yet willing teachers.

Multipath Transmission Control Protocol (MPTCP) is a transport layer protocol, which transmits TCP segments on more than one path, in multihomed devices. It was designed with the aim of Bandwidth aggregation and redundant connections. Currently, multihomed devices have wireless interfaces of heterogeneous nature. MPTCP is not able to give its optimal performance in heterogeneous networks. This paper presents an experimental performance study of four different schedulers, namely Roundrobin, Default, Blest, and Redundant. Our testbed comprises Ethernet, LTE, and Wifi networks to connect multihomed devices. We have compared the scheduler performance in terms of Throughput , Download time and path utilization rate in homogenous and heterogenous scenarios . Results showed that Round robin provides optimal throughput in homogenous networks and also performs bandwidth aggregation by utilizing both the paths but fails to perform in heterogenous networks. Blest, provides best throughput among the four schedulers but prefers fast path only.

One such topic was the Supreme Court’s verdict on almost seven-decade old Ayodhya land dispute case. On 9th November 2019, the apex court ordered that the disputed land in question be used for construction of Ram Temple. As it was one of the most anticipated judgements in India’s history, Twitter, was buzzing long before the date of verdict. To perform sentiment analysis, around 70,000 tweets pertaining to the verdict were collected from 26th Oct 2019 to 23rd Nov 2019. The dataset was then divided into three phases i.e., pre-verdict, on day of verdict and post-verdict and NRC Lexicon has been used to analyze the results and extract positive, negative, and neutral tweets. Sentiment analysis of each phase indicates that the verdict has been accepted by the public.
