Abstract

This chapter was written based on bibliographical research, qualitative, and exploratory studies. The objective of writing the chapter was to highlight the main disruptive technologies and innovations for business 5.0 with application perspectives and recommendations; and, when reading the academic materials, it was noticed that few areas are covered in academic investigations into business 5.0. There are solutions and recommendations, as well as directions for future research. The final considerations, among the conclusions, are that well-being for future generations are the revolutions to be documented for a fairer society, whether in reality or in augmented, virtual, mixed, or extended realities.

2. Background: Highlight And Context For Main Scenes

When thinking about innovations and disruptive technologies, episodes of The Jetsons (1962 - 1987) come to mind. How many people of the 50+ diversity have not watched episodes of the cartoon created by Joseph Barbera (1911 - 2006) and William Hanna (1910 - 2001) for two decades of the 20th century? It is not known for sure, but the certainty is that countless people, when witnessing a utopian future, wanted to have homes like those of the main characters, to drive (aero) cars, to have robotic employees, to have a reduction in the journey of work and have more leisure time.

Key Terms in this Chapter

Human Varnish: Term brought to the business area and linked to professions that need physical work or continuous use of computational resources that can be supported by artificial intelligence bases. Although there is social interaction to perform functions, professions with these characteristics tend, in the future, to have artificial intelligence to support or to perform most of the human function in the job. The professional in the area tends to be necessary regarding decisions involving elements that only exist in human beings.

Sustainable Career: Combines mental health, happiness, time management and productivity. Mental health becomes a public health issue when it is not reflected as a center of sustainability. Work activities can show harm to human life and careers need to be fully sustainable. The happiness element is present in studies that have conclusions about the contribution of happiness in the employee's professional life. Neural connections relate to health, well-being, feelings, emotions, and actions. The productivity represented by performance and deliveries is related to the management of enjoyment and work time. Sustainable employability is contained in the sustainable career, just as the sustainable career is at the intersection of mental health, happiness, and time management. Personal life influences the professional and the professional trajectory interferes in people's way of life.
