Editor/Author Biographies
María Báez is an organizational leadership psychologist, consultant, and coach. She is the founder-CEO of MBaez Consulting Llc, an organization specializing in organizational diagnostic and change management. She also provides leadership development and growth training, such as mindful leadership applied to diversity, inclusion, equity, ethics, organizational readiness, and emotional intelligence. She has a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering, a Master of Operations Management, and a second Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources. Her first book, written in English and Spanish, What is happening to me? What do I do? It has changed the lives of many girls around the world. After facing a difficult transition with language, gender, and racial discrimination, she overcame the challenges to become an expert in corporate human resources, immigration policies/practices/procedures, and organizational leadership psychology. Some of her work and certifications include the Mindful Leader Talk Podcast, Certified Workplace Mindfulness Facilitator, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, New York City and New York State M/WBE, Certified Success Principles Trainer, Strategic Intervention Trainer, and Visiting Scholar at the Rutgers Center for Minority Serving Institutions, the visiting scholars' program of the Samuel DeWitt Proctor Institute for Leadership, Equity, and Justice. Maria's diverse background should be of great value to organizations that realize that business, technology, and education have client engagements and operations that are highly global, international, and culturally diverse.
