This is an important and sobering book about the past, present and future of Enterprise Resource Planning systems and their promise of providing a complete information management solution for the corporation. The authors, based on several years of research, take a sympathetic but also impartial look at the implementation of ERP systems and find a big gap between the promise and the reality. A must read for senior managers thinking about implementing ERP or similar enterprise-wide systems.
