Description & Coverage
Description:

Canadian Education Law and Global Comparative Studies for Teachers and Administrators is a comprehensive and essential resource that addresses the legal issues and challenges faced by educators in Canada and provides a comparative perspective on global education law. With the increasing demands from parents and students and the tightening of educational resources, teachers and administrators need to be well-informed about their rights and the legal framework governing the education system.

Authored by Xiaobin Li, an experienced and accomplished scholar in the field of educational administration, this book delves into the legal dimensions of education, covering a wide range of topics that are crucial for educators. This book offers comprehensive coverage of important issues in education law, spanning the understanding of roles and responsibilities of teachers, maintaining discipline and safety in classrooms, addressing special education needs, and exploring the statutory responsibilities of principals.

The book also provides insights into collective bargaining in education, highlighting the importance of effective governance and negotiation in the educational context. With a focus on the Canadian education system, the author explores the legal framework and its implications for teachers, administrators, and educational institutions.

In addition to the examination of Canadian education law, the book offers a global perspective by drawing comparisons with international practices. By incorporating comparative studies from different countries, readers gain a broader understanding of education law and its impact on teaching and learning.

Through rigorous academic research, Canadian Education Law and Global Comparative Studies for Teachers and Administrators equips educators with the legal knowledge and literacy necessary to navigate the complex landscape of education. It serves as an invaluable guide for teachers, administrators, and education professionals seeking to uphold the rights of students, maintain order in schools, and create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
