Andrisha Beharry Ramraj

Andrisha Beharry Ramraj , senior lecturer at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, holds a PhD in Management studies majoring in management, leadership and governance. Furthermore, she holds a Post Graduate Diplomas in Higher Education and Human Resources Management. In 2004 and 2005, she received NRF scholarships to complete her Honours and Masters degrees, respectively. She has presented at local and international conferences in the areas of Management, Leadership, Marketing, Human Resources management, Global Business and Entrepreneurship. She has published in the fields of Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Human Resources and Business Management. She recently published book chapters on entrepreneurial sustainability and employee wellness and leadership across the globe. In 2016 and 2017, she received best presentation awards for the best paper delivered at conferences. She serves on the Teaching and Learning committee within the University of KwaZulu Natal (UKZN) and served as the Bachelor of Business Administrator Programme Manager (Self-Funding Teaching Programme) for one term. She teaches across levels within the Discipline of Management and Entrepreneurship, from entry-level to masters level. She is keen on developing undergraduate curriculum transformation within the discipline. Redesigning curricula to suit the dynamics of modern teaching in the world, and enabling sustainability and digitisation is fast becoming her passion. Having realised her desire for higher education, Dr Beharry served as an expert advisor for the Student Society of Entrepreneurship (CAVE) based at UKZN. Further to this, she shares her expertise as a research expert for the Centre of Entrepreneurship.
