Recent technological advancements show that mobile phones are becoming an increasingly significant part of our daily lives. Older adults (OAs) [60+] constitute a key demographic for this study. This study aims to determine the features of smartphone technologies used by OAs in Windhoek and to analyse the possible factors that may influence their adoption as well as to assess OAs perceptions of smartphones. A quantitative research method was adopted. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data from 99 OAs in Windhoek through convenience sampling method. Data were analysed employing SPSS. The study revealed that OAs do not fully adopt smartphones. However, they believe that smartphones provide benefits such as giving entertainment and curbing loneliness. The findings suggest there is a relationship between the smart technology (ST) features and perceptions towards the adoption of STs by OAs in Windhoek. This study can educate smartphone manufacturers and developers about elements that should be considered when designing communication devices and applications for OAs.

The purpose of this research was to establish the atmospheric variables used by restaurants, and to determine the relationship between atmospherics and subliminal and supraliminal stimuli. The study explored how atmospherics influenced the absolute threshold and investigated how atmospherics (pleasure, arousal, and dominance) affect the choices made by the chosen Windhoek restaurant customers. The study made use of a simple random sampling and the questionnaires were distributed to customers who dined at the said restaurant during a six-month period. The sample response rate was about 60% and yielded 175 responses. SPSS Inc Version 28 of 2021 and SPSS Amos version 26 were used for data analysis. Descriptive statistics were analysed, using factor analysis and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) to display the data. The study established a relationship between atmospherics and subliminal as well as supraliminal stimuli. Marketing scholars are urged to psychology experts to gain greater insights on the phenomenon.

This study aims to examine the relationship between the job satisfaction levels of employees in Mosul Municipality and their commitment to the institution. The survey form used as a data collection tool consisted of a personal information form, job satisfaction scale and organizational commitment scale. The findings reveal that the overall job satisfaction level of the participants is moderate. It was also found that the levels of organizational commitment of all types of municipal employees were low. It has been determined that there is a positive and significant relationship between the job satisfaction levels of municipal employees and their organizational commitment levels. It has been understood that the relationships between all factors determining job satisfaction and all types of organizational commitment are positive and significant. It has been determined that promotion, colleagues and non-wage factors come to the fore as factors that significantly and positively affect organizational commitment.
