One word in the book’s title stands out: meaningful. While the accessibility of online education has certainly helped the masses access education in ways that they have not accessed education before, the quality and reliability of that education should be as close to face-to-face educational experiences as is possible. One of the fundamental problems in evaluating education, and especially online education, is assessing the effectiveness of the education from the perspective of the student. This assessment is especially rare but necessary in MOOCs, where students are only tangentially formally enrolled and have little, if any, opportunity to provide feedback to the course instructors.
Overall, Revolutionizing Modern Education through Meaningful E-Learning Implementation is a useful resource in a fluid world of changing online education. This book is recommended for academic libraries and professional development collections
