Description & Coverage
Description:

Synthesis and application of nanoparticle (NPs) in the last decade has demonstrated multiple benefits in various sectors, including agro-industry such as development of nano-based fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, etc. In populated countries, NPs might have a remarkable influence on overcome the poverty, hunger, malnutrition, and child mortality rate. In agriculture, NPs are rapidly using to overcome various biotic and abiotic stresses, protect disease and paste, eliminate toxic metal stress, improve nutrient use efficiency, increase soil microbial functionality, boost soil fertility, and improve yield quality. However, the minimum input for maximum output theory is still required to explore, so, the actual benefits could be harvest by nano-enhanced product input in agriculture. It is also important to evaluate the negative aspects of the use of NPs in agriculture. Considering promising outcome of NPs and their emerging application in agriculture, the current book is planned which will provide a brief description on nanotechnological approaches, more insights especially on commercially available nano-enabled products and their realistic applications with environmental concerns. Audience of the book are Researchers, Scientific community, Academician, business farmers and policy makers all may use this useful content. Besides this university library mostly prefer such novel content.

Editor/Author Biographies

Dr. Vishnu D Rajput is an esteemed scientist and educator specializing in Agricultural Biotechnology and Soil Science. He holds a Doctor of Science degree from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, and a Master of Science in Agricultural Biotechnology from Chander Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur, India. Currently, Dr. Rajput serves as the Head of the Soil Laboratory and a Leading Researcher (Associate Professor) at the Academy of Biology and Biotechnology, Southern Federal University, Rostov, Russia. With over 15 years of research experience, he has contributed significantly to the fields of soil microbiology, bioremediation, and agricultural sustainability. Dr. Rajput's career includes pivotal roles such as Senior Research Fellow at the Central Soil Salinity Research Institute, India, where he led projects focused on bioremediation of wastewater contaminated with heavy metals. His expertise extends to the application of microorganisms in agriculture, particularly in enhancing plant resilience and soil health. Recognized for his academic and research contributions, Dr. Rajput has received numerous accolades, including Certificates of Appreciation and Honor from the Southern Federal University for his outstanding research and publication activities. He has also been conferred the status of "Highly Qualified Specialist" by the Russian Government. His current research interests encompass the toxic effects of bulk and nano-forms of metals on plants and soil microorganisms, investigating bioaccumulation, transformations, and developing remediation strategies using nanomaterials and nano-biochar.
