Description & Coverage
Description:

This book presents a comprehensive examination of the challenges and opportunities in managing electronic waste (e-waste) sustainably. From the design phase to disposal, this edited volume explores innovative strategies and solutions for minimizing the environmental impact of e-waste while maximizing resource recovery and reuse. Drawing upon expertise from diverse disciplines such as industrial engineering, environmental engineering, computer engineering, electronic engineering, and management science, this book provides a multidisciplinary perspective on tackling one of the fastest-growing waste streams globally.

This publication will have a significant impact on the research community by advancing knowledge and understanding of e-waste management from a holistic and interdisciplinary standpoint. By showcasing integrated approaches and best practices, it will inspire further research and collaboration among scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and industry stakeholders. Furthermore, the insights and recommendations presented in this book have the potential to influence policy development, industry standards, and educational curricula related to sustainable e-waste management, thereby contributing to environmental protection and resource conservation on a global scale.

The intended audience for this book includes researchers, academics, students, policymakers, environmentalists, and professionals working in fields related to industrial engineering, environmental engineering, computer engineering, electronic engineering, and management science. It will serve as a valuable resource for graduate and undergraduate courses in sustainability, waste management, environmental engineering, green manufacturing, and supply chain management. Additionally, industry professionals involved in electronics manufacturing, recycling, and regulatory compliance will find practical insights and guidance for implementing sustainable e-waste management practices within their organizations.
