Editor/Author Biographies

Georgios Styliaras born in Agrinio, Greece in 1974. He obtained his engineering diploma in computer engineering and informatics from the University of Patras, Greece in 1996. He received his PhD in computer engineering and informatics from the University of Patras, Greece in 2001. His major fields of study cover multimedia applications, multimedia systems, hypermedia and hypertext. He worked as a researcher for the University of Patras. He also worked for the Hellenic Ministry of Culture as a project manager for multimedia applications projects. From 2006 until 2009, he was a lecturer at the Department of Plastic Arts and Art Sciences (Univeristy of Ioannina, Greece). Since 2009, he is an assistant professor at the Department of Cultural Heritage Management and New Technologies in Agrinio, Greece.

Dimitrios Koukopoulos born in Karditsa, Greece in 1975. He obtained his engineering diploma in computer engineering and informatics from the University of Patras, Greece in 1998. He obtained his MSc in communications and signal processing from the Imperial College of the University of London, UK in 1999. He received his PhD in computer engineering and informatics from the University of Patras, Greece in 2003. His major fields of study cover algorithms, network stability, heterogeneous networks, trustworthy multimedia networks and audio watermarking. Since 2008, he is a lecturer at the Department of Cultural Heritage Management and New Technologies (University of Ioannina, Greece). From 2006 until 2008, he was an assistant professor at the Department of Information Technology Applications in Management and Economics (Technological Educational Institute of Ionian Islands, Greece). He worked as a researcher for the Research Academic Computer Technological Institute in Greece.

Fotis Lazarinis is a visiting lecturer at the Department of Cultural Heritage Management and New Technologies, University of Ioannina, Greece. He has authored over 40 refereed papers in international or national conferences, journals and research handbooks. He has also published several Computer Science educational books in Greek and served as a review member for major conferences and workshops. He co-edited the Handbook on research on E-learning standards and Interoperability and he co-organized the ACM iNEWS workshops.
