Editor/Author Biographies
Dr. Youssef Elhaoussine is currently an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Business and Management at BNU-HKBU United International College (UIC). He is originally from France and has a scientific background in physics-chemistry and analytical chemistry, holding a Bachelor's degree with honors from Napier Edinburgh University in Scotland, UK. He also possesses a strong business background, having earned a Master's degree in Marketing Management from Cranfield University in England and a PhD in Corporate Entrepreneurship from Sun Yat-sen University Business School in Guangzhou, China. In addition to his academic credentials, Dr. Elhaoussine brings valuable professional experience, having worked in China for over five years as a production manager for a French printing consumable retailer. In this role, he developed manufacturer networks and monitored production quality across China and Europe. In 2013, he transitioned to an academic career and became a researcher at Sun Yat-sen University International School of Business and Finance, specializing in B2B branding strategies and the Belt and Road Initiative. He is frequently invited by international trade organizations to share his expertise on industrial brand strategies.
Dr. Henni Appelgryn has been teaching in China since 2007 and is a Lecturer in the Faculty of Business and Management (FBM) at BNU-HKBU United International College (UIC) since 2014. He earned both his PhD and DBA in Business Administration from the Swiss Management Center University in Switzerland, as well as an MBA from the University of South Africa. Before moving to China, Dr. Appelgryn had over 20 years of business experience in South Africa, where he was an entrepreneur. His deep understanding of global business environments stems from his practical experience and academic expertise in marketing management and entrepreneurship. This unique combination enables him to offer a comprehensive understanding of the competitive and entrepreneurial dynamics that shape today’s global market.
Lulu Wang is an accomplished industrial consultant with a strong academic and professional background. She majored in Public Administration for her undergraduate studies and later earned a Master’s degree in Corporate Management from France. Over the course of her career, she has helped foreign companies establish themselves in China, managing major international projects, from the construction of factories to the relocation of business operations abroad. Her expertise extends beyond project management, as she is highly skilled in navigating government regulations and handling complex paperwork for large-scale initiatives. This ability has made her a key asset in ensuring the smooth development of projects in China’s complex regulatory landscape. With a deep understanding of the Chinese market and a vast network of connections, Lulu Wang provides invaluable insights and guidance to businesses seeking success in China.
