Editor/Author Biographies
Carissa A. Barker-Stucky is a freelance writer, editor, and graphic designer. She has been with Carnegie Writers, Inc. since 2015 and is currently the Chair of the Publications Committee. Carissa graduated from Southwest Baptist University with a Bachelor of Art in English and Master of Fine Arts in Writing from Lindenwood University.
Kemi Elufiede , an educator, administrator, author, editor, and poet, has 18 years of professional experience in public, higher, and community education, as well as in the nonprofit sector and social services. She has held various roles, including tutor, teacher, mentor, instructor, evaluations manager, dean, case manager, residence director, and nonprofit leader. In these positions, she has implemented and facilitated programs to improve literacy skills, behavioral health, developmental disabilities, career and workforce development, personal growth, faculty development, academic readiness, and student engagement. She has presented at over 20 professional conferences and workshops and facilitated more than 30 programs. She holds a degree in P-12 Special Education from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, a B.L.S. in Psychology, an M.Ed. in Adult Education from Georgia Southern University, an MBA from West Chester University, and an Ed.D. from Lipscomb University.
