Navid Razmjooy has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering/Control from Tafresh University (formerly Amirkabir University-Tafresh paradise). He born in 1988; he received his B.Sc. in electrical engineering from the Islamic Azad University of Ardabil Branch, Ardabil, Iran in 2009 and M.Sc. with honor in Mechatronics Engineering from Islamic Azad University, Majlesi Branch, Isfahan, Iran in 2011. He is a senior member of IEEE and young researchers club in the IA University (Majlesi Industrial Unit). His research interests include Control; Optimization; Image Processing, Machine Vision, Soft Computing, Data Mining, Evolutionary Algorithms, and System Control. He published about 74 papers and 3 books in Farsi and English in peer-reviewed journals and conferences and is now a reviewer in the national and international journals.
Vania Estrela has a B.S. degree from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE); M.Sc. from the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA), Sao Jose dos Campos; M.Sc. degree in ECE at Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois (IL), USA; and Ph.D. in ECE from the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), Chicago, IL, USA. Taught at DeVry University; DePaul University; Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense (UENF), Campos de Goytacazes, Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Brazil; and for the Universidade Estadual da Zona Oeste (UEZO), Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil. Visiting professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Rio de Janeiro (IPRJ)/State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) in Nova Friburgo, RJ. Currently working at Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), Niterói, RJ for the Department of Telecommunications. Research interests include signal/image/video processing, inverse problems, computational and mathematical modeling, stochastic models, multimedia, communications, motion estimation, machine learning and geoprocessing.
