Zunirah Mohd Talib

Zunirah Mohd Talib , currently is an academic scholar at Management and Science University (MSU) and still teaching mainly in Operation Management, Total Quality Management and Industrial management. She has been working with MSU (Management & Science University) since 2015 and become the Head of the Department of Business management and law from Oct 2015 until Dec 2019. Later in Jan 2020, she became the Dean of Faculty Business Management and Professional Studies and currently, she is a Professor at the Graduate School of Management, Post Graduate School. Before starting her career in lecturing, she became a researcher at the University of Science Malaysia (USM) and decided to involve in teaching more seriously. With experiences, she would like to share and extend her knowledge in Operation management, especially in Halal operation management, Total Quality Management and Industrial management area. She has been working with SONY Corporation, in Prai, Penang Malaysia known as SONY EMCS & SONY AUDIO from 1991 to 2002 in New System & Production Control Department and also in Human Resource Department. She also has experience working in local companies such as Infoseni Sdn Bhd, Penang and GLC Government Link Companies such as SilTerra Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Kulim, Kedah before starting her Ph.D. in Operation/Technology Management at the School of Management at University Science Malaysia (USM). She enrolled in PhD research on Halal Orientation Strategy in 2009 and graduated in 2014. Her research mainly focuses on production and operation including Halal food companies, logistics, entrepreneurship, in Malaysia. Her first publication in 2010 appeared through Medwell Journals in the Pakistan Journal of Social Sciences, titled Conceptualizations on the Dimensions for Halal Orientation for Food Manufacturers: A Study in the Context of Malaysia, which has about 103 citations. Her experiences in the industry for 15 years exposed her a lot in hands-on activities in the production, training and management aspects. She obtained her first degree in Agricultural & Bio-System Technology (specializing in crop production and water management) from the University of Arizona, Tucson, USA in 1991 and her MBA in 2004 from at Northern University of Malaysia (UUM)
