Tianxing Cai

Dr. Tianxing Cai has a Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering. He is an expert on industrial automation, process control, process safety management program, risk management program, plant safety and security, unit operation, and control of the process industry. He has rich experience in project management and has great connections with the industries. He also works for AIChE Chemical Engineers with Disabilities (ChEwD) Task Force, and AIChE Disabilities OutReach & Inclusion Community (DORIC). AIChE ChEwD and DORIC are at the forefront among professional engineering societies in terms of inclusion of its members with disabilities. That inclusion consists not only of addressing the needs of those with a history of a disability, but also recognizing the unique capabilities they possess which lead to new levels of innovation and insight into the problems we, as engineers, address. In addition, he serves as the Faculty Advisor of National Society of Black Engineers Student Chapter at Lamar University, which actively work on community outreach programs including workshops and seminars on accessible technology.
