Soumya Sankar Ghosh

Soumya Sankar Ghosh holds a doctorate in Linguistics from Jadavpur University's School of Languages and Linguistics, Kolkata, India. He earned a Master's degree in Linguistics from the University of Calcutta in Kolkata and his second Master's degree in English from the IGNOU, New Delhi. In 2021, he completed an Advanced Diploma in TEFL and TESOL from the Asian College of Teachers. He worked as a Pre-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Potsdam in Germany (2018-2019). He has ten years of UG-PG teaching, research, and industrial experience. He is currently employed as an Assistant Professor at VIT Bhopal University, Bhopal. He has over 15 publications in indexed international journals and proceedings such as Scopus, WOS, ACL, and UGC-CARE. Language and Education, Formal Semantics and Pragmatics, Computational Linguistics, Natural Language Processing, and ELT are some of his research interests. He was selected as an Academic Advisor for the West Bengal Government Language Division in 2022. He is a lifetime member of India's Linguistic Society (LSI).
