Abstract

This research assesses the effectiveness of Blended Learning (BL) in reducing English-speaking anxiety among STEM students. Language anxiety hinders engagement and knowledge acquisition in STEM, where English proficiency is crucial. The BL program combines traditional methods with digital resources to enhance language proficiency and confidence. The study uses a mixed-methods approach, measuring anxiety and performance, followed by a tailored behavior change intervention. Results show a significant reduction in anxiety levels, and a strong link between enhanced linguistic confidence and academic success in STEM. BL is identified as a valuable tool connecting language competency to academic excellence in STEM, with implications for educators, institutions, and policymakers. Further research is needed for a comprehensive understanding of its lasting impact.
