Rupayan Roy

Rupayan Roy , an Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Fashion Technology in Kannur, India, specializes in fibrous structures, nonwoven structures, fibre orientation, and fibrous composites. He obtained his Ph.D. in Textile and Fibre Engineering from IIT Delhi, where a wide range of fibrous structures for various applications was explored. His doctoral research primarily focused on the development of highly efficient air filter media utilizing needle-punched nonwovens. With 3 years of experience in academics, Dr. Roy has authored more than 25 research papers and delivered presentations at over 10 conferences of International repute. His primary interest involves advancing the field of fibrous material design for high-end applications. His current research interest includes technical textiles with natural materials.
