Olayinka S. Ohunakin

Olayinka Ohunakin is an internationally recognized Professor of Energy Systems. He is a Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Covenant University, Nigeria. He is a Beahrs Fellow, College of Natural Resources, University of California, Berkeley; Visiting Scholar, Center for African Studies, University of California, Berkeley; Visiting Professor, Centre for Petroleum, Energy Economics and Law (CPEEL), University of Ibadan, Nigeria; Visiting Professor, Faculty of Engineering & the Built Environment, University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He is also the Director and Co-founder, The Energy and Environment Research Group (TEERG), Department of Mechanical Engineering, Covenant University, Nigeria. Prof. Ohunakin is an energy and environmental expert with vast knowledge in renewable energy technologies, distributed generation, and hybrid grid systems, design and evaluation of low-carbon systems, energy modeling, climate modeling, energy economics, policies, finance, and management, with in-depth researches in energy conversion and management, energy efficiency and conservation techniques, conventional energy sources and power plants.
