Nnabuk Okon Eddy

Nnabuk Okon Eddy graduated from the University of Calabar with a BSc Degree in Chemistry (1995) and PhD in Physical Chemistry (2010) and was appointed Professor of Physical Chemistry in 2015. He currently serves as a Professor of Physical/Computational Chemistry at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He had previously served at ABU, Zaria, and Federal University, Lokoja, before his present appointment at the UNN. Prof. Eddy has led several research teams as Principal Investigator at both National and International levels and is the current Chairman of the Federal Government’s Technical Committee on Agrochemicals. His contribution to waste reduction through recycling and resource recovery has received remarkable global impacts, with an average h-index of 49 and i10 index of 130. He has led different accreditation teams to the Chemistry Departments of some Nigerian universities and has, over the years, successfully supervised many postgraduate students at both the MSc and PhD levels. He is a consultant to the University of Zambia and NAEC on Chemistry and Nuclear Science curricula. He is among the top 2% most cited scientists and the first Physical Sciences in Nigeria (ADI ranking).
