Benita R. Brooks

Benita R. Brooks is an Associate Professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She taught high school English for 10 years. She has received numerous awards and recognition for her academic and community engagement work. Her research interests include cultivating culturally responsive and sustaining practices through critical service-learning in teacher education programs, developing culturally proficient leaders in K-12 and higher education, and re-thinking diversity, equity, and inclusion to obtain justice.
