Anila Thomas

Anila Thomas is an accomplished researcher and educator with approximately 25 years of academic and research experience. Dr. Thomas is currently working as an Associate Professor and Head, Department of Tourism and Travel Management at Jyoti Nivas College Autonomous in Bengaluru, Karnataka. She has authored many research-based chapters/papers in journals and book publications, and acted as a resource person at numerous international and national conferences. In 2012, she received a Doctorate in Tourism Management from Mother Teresa Women's University in Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu. Her research focuses on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Tourism Destinations, AI Applications in Tourism & Hospitality Industry, Geographic relevance to various tourist destinations, Health and Wellness Tourism, women's participation in Ayurvedic Medical Tourism, and Community involvement in Tourism resource preservation.
