Introduction

In accordance with paradigm shifts, turns, or developments in technology, we, as researchers, need to modify or fine-tune our thoughts/beliefs/emotions about our research practices in a constant flux. Given that language teacher education is a dynamic realm and offers researchers diverse study topics, frames, and fields along with the application of novel or creative uses of research techniques, methods used to explore the multiple dimensions of this field change over time and need to be (re)visited, (re)vised, and (re)created. This (r)evolution is one of the starting points of the present project. Against this backdrop, in the current project, our aim is to foreground current and innovative research practices in language teacher education through sample studies sample implementations. This means that we expect the chapters to include an introduction to the innovative quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method design and do a sample study using and further explaining this innovation. This is because the primary aim of the book is to be a guide for researchers or post-graduate students in terms of novel approaches to methodological issues.

Objective

We hope that our project will further advance our current knowledge and practices in how we investigate and/or explore language teacher research. Hence, we hope to provide a guide for those who are conducting teacher-related research, including established researchers and emerging ones.
