Introduction

The convergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), often referred to as AIoT, represents a transformative paradigm in technology. This amalgamation leverages the data-generating capabilities of IoT devices with the advanced analytical and decision-making prowess of AI. AIoT systems are capable of not only collecting vast amounts of data from interconnected devices but also analysing this data in real-time to make intelligent decisions, thereby creating more responsive, efficient, and autonomous systems. AIoT is revolutionising a multitude of sectors including healthcare, agriculture, manufacturing, and smart cities, offering unprecedented opportunities for innovation and efficiency. From intelligent home automation systems and smart city infrastructures to precision farming and advanced industrial automation, the applications of AIoT are vast and continually expanding. This book aims to provide a comprehensive exploration of AIoT, delving into its technical foundations, practical applications, and future trends.
