Introduction

The Japanese government launched Society 5.0 with the goal of creating a sustainable society that adds to people's safety and comfort through the use of certain cyberphysical systems. This new paradigm is a super smart society (Huang et al., 2022) that fully integrate to enhance digital and physical infrastructure for human beings. It aims to shed the light on a symmetric of human and the mobilizing of Big Data Technologies, IoT, and AI. As a result, it will resolve major problem in society i.e. wellbeing, productivity, and competitiveness. This new society paradigm accentuates on the interests and demands of people, where all institutions as such private, public, educational establish the cooperative operation to boost social interconnect (Rojas et al., 2021). It is also linked with the United Nations Development Goals on sustainable development goals (SDGs) (Zengin et al., 2021). Consequently, the society revolution is usually interacted with industry representing its coexistence. Conceptually, the industry 5.0 is the industry outlook on human-centered, sustainability, and resilient operation system. Whilst, the individuals have high quality of life, comfort, and able to access necessary goods and services (Huang et al., 2022). It is to flourish the business and services sustainable with people center and openness to innovation (Nikiforova, 2021). Subsequently, the labor market is significantly changed which impact to education, economic, and society. Meanwhile, the industry 5.0 would be also changed beyond producing goods, services, and profit that needs to do and think differently (Broo et al., 2022). As refer to Doyle-Kent and Shanahan (2022) cited that the workforce requires to be armed with specific skills, the future manufactures highlight on human capital. That is the ability of human synergetic with technology considered vital.

Objective

This edited-book theme aims to accentuate the new paradigm workplace in the super smart society. At which point, all sectors and all levels have to adapt ranging from individual, team, leaders, and organizational level. Specifically, the human resource management and professional orchestrate people to maintain high performance and retain talent in such dynamic paradigm.

Target Audience

The target audience of this book will be composed of professionals, researchers, and scholars working in the field of information, organizational culture, business and knowledge management in various disciplines, e.g. information and communication sciences, administrative sciences and management, education, adult education, sociology, hospitality and tourism, marketing, leadership, and information technology. Moreover, the book will provide insights and support executives concerned with the management of expertise, knowledge, information and organizational development in different types of work communities and environments in the society 5.0.

Submission Procedure

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before September 1 2024, a chapter proposal of 1,000 to 2,000 words clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by September 18, 2024 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines.Full chapters are expected to be submitted by October 27, 2024, and all interested authors must consult the guidelines for manuscript submissions at https://www.igi-global.com/publish/contributor-resources/before-you-write/ prior to submission. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-anonymized review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.

Note: There are no submission or acceptance fees for manuscripts submitted to this book publication, Humanizing the Hyperconnected Workplace. All manuscripts are accepted based on a double-anonymized peer review editorial process.
