Introduction

The South China Sea is a critical geographical region in international relations and human history. Power dynamics, conflicts, maritime rights and the complexity of international relations in the area play an important role in global peace and stability today. The book's focus is an in-depth examination of the strategic importance of the South China Sea and the relations between the countries around it. This comprehensive study aims to explain the origins of geopolitical tensions, conflicts over maritime rights, and regional strategic rivalries. It also discusses the interactions between intra-regional and extra-regional actors in the South China Sea, the international legal framework, and efforts to ensure regional stability.
