Introduction

Islamic economics and finance are rest on the Islamic values and in turn many muslims prefer the instruments by the Islamic finance institutions. The total value of the assets by the global Islamic finance industry was about US$4.5 trillion in 2022. The size of the global islamic finance is expected to increase in the near future especially in Asia and the Middle East considering that there have been more than 1.9 billion müslims in the world. On the other hand, ICT penetration has been remarkably developed in the world as of mid 1990s. This study targets to investigate the implications of ICT for Islamic finance and economics from a multidisciplineary perspective.

Objective

The objective of the book is to investigate the implications of ICT for Islamic finance and economics from a multidisciplineary perspective.

Target Audience

The book will address the professional researchers, individuals, managers, and governmental employees.

Submission Procedure

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before July 21, 2024, a chapter proposal of 1,000 to 2,000 words clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by August 4, 2024 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines.Full chapters are expected to be submitted by October 13, 2024, and all interested authors must consult the guidelines for manuscript submissions at https://www.igi-global.com/publish/contributor-resources/before-you-write/ prior to submission. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-anonymized review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.

Note: There are no submission or acceptance fees for manuscripts submitted to this book publication, Implications of ICT for Islamic Finance and Economics. All manuscripts are accepted based on a double-anonymized peer review editorial process.
