Introduction

The book focuses on the convergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Smart Water technologies in the context of smart cities. It explores how AI is transforming water management to address challenges such as efficiency, sustainability, climate change resilience and optimising water use in urban environments. The content is structured into chapters covering a wide range of Smart Water applications and technologies, from leak detection and water use optimisation to flood management and water quality. Each chapter is written by experts in different disciplines to provide a comprehensive and multidisciplinary view of the innovative solutions that AI brings to water management in smart cities.

Objective

Smart Water Technology for Sustainable Management in Modern Cities delves into the dynamic intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Smart Water technologies within the framework of smart cities. As urban areas grow and face increasing pressures from climate change, population growth, and resource constraints, the need for innovative water management solutions becomes critical. This book explores how AI is revolutionizing the way cities manage their water resources, enhancing efficiency, sustainability, and resilience against various challenges. Submission Procedure

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before July 28, 2024, a chapter proposal of 1,000 to 2,000 words clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by August 11, 2024 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines.Full chapters are expected to be submitted by September 29, 2024, and all interested authors must consult the guidelines for manuscript submissions at https://www.igi-global.com/publish/contributor-resources/before-you-write/ prior to submission. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-anonymized review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.

Note: There are no submission or acceptance fees for manuscripts submitted to this book publication, Smart Water Technology for Sustainable Management in Modern Cities. All manuscripts are accepted based on a double-anonymized peer review editorial process.
