Introduction

Researchers have demonstrated that information technology (IT) is indispensable for a company's success, particularly under uncertain and turbulent economic conditions. A well-formulated IT strategy outlines how technology should be utilized to achieve both IT and business objectives. This strategy must balance everyday operational support with future development in architecture, systems, and technologies. Advanced intelligence systems including Human-Centric AI, perform tasks typically requiring human intelligence, such as reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making. These systems often leverage machine learning techniques, enabling them to learn from data and improve over time. Such systems have the potential to revolutionize various industries and enhance daily life. However, their impact on employment, privacy, and security must be carefully managed as these technologies evolve. Cost, defined as the resources expended for an intervention, and cost-effectiveness, the ratio of intervention cost to its impact, are crucial considerations. Requirements represent the capabilities necessary to fulfill a product strategy. Factors like innovativeness, risk-taking, and proactiveness are essential for entrepreneurship, driving the realization of ideas and accountability for success or failure. Innovativeness is critical for the effective implementation and commercialization of viable product concepts and varies by firm type. Entrepreneurship inherently involves the introduction of new products or services, providing value to customers through innovation. The use of information technology influences how innovative a company's products and services are. Entrepreneurship and sustainable innovation are pivotal for building an environmentally conscious and socially responsible future. Futuristic technologies enable entrepreneurs to innovate sustainably, creating business growth opportunities while minimizing environmental impact. Entrepreneurs must introduce unique products and services using inventive methods and IT. Given current and future market trends, entrepreneurial companies need to restructure, integrating futuristic and innovative IT tools and techniques. Recent global studies highlight the positive correlation between IT use and entrepreneurial activity. While past restructurings addressed the needs of their time, current efforts must focus on future technologies to drive innovation. In today's digital world, technology significantly impacts how new business initiatives are conceived and developed. The emerging technological paradigm leverages cooperation and collective intelligence to create robust, long-lasting entrepreneurial ventures. Further research is required to understand the entrepreneurial ecosystem within this new socio-technical paradigm. Green entrepreneurship addresses environmental issues and promotes social change without harming the environment. Social networks expand businesses by reducing transaction costs, creating new opportunities, and disseminating information. Sustainability entrepreneurship addresses social and environmental issues, especially in developing economies, by making deliberate modifications to products, services, or processes to achieve long-term benefits and financial rewards. Innovative entrepreneurs can protect their ideas through intellectual property rights (IPR), which also facilitate access to capital and the growth of technological markets. Intrapreneurship allows employees within organizations to act as entrepreneurs, driving innovation from within. Information and communication technology (ICT) enhances company efficiency, effectiveness, and responsiveness across various functions, including design, production, R&D, distribution, sales, and feedback. Staying updated with the latest industry developments, especially technology, is essential for business growth. Executives must continuously seek innovative technologies to improve outcomes and processes. Emerging technologies poised to transform business operations include Embedded Business Intelligence, Customer Communication Tools, 'Appified' Visual Presentations, Personalized Video Messaging, Outreach.io, Intent Intelligence, Attribution Technology, Cloud Team Management, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Remote Communication Tools, Conversation Intelligence, Connect and Sell, Augmented Analytics, and Machine Learning. This proposed book explores these topics, addressing arising challenges and providing plausible solutions and support to turn problems into opportunities.

Objective

Entrepreneurs and information technology (IT) have become the backbone of the global economy, underscoring the crucial interplay between entrepreneurship, innovation, and IT. The increasing integration of IT into society and various industries, coupled with the economic convergence of entrepreneurship and innovation, necessitates a comprehensive and authoritative research handbook. Such a handbook will disseminate cutting-edge findings on entrepreneurship and innovation within the context of IT from an international perspective. Advanced intelligence systems offer numerous and varied impacts, including increased efficiency and productivity, improved decision-making, enhanced safety and security, and better healthcare outcomes. These systems have the potential to transform many industries and significantly enhance our daily lives. However, it is crucial to ensure that these systems are developed and utilized responsibly and ethically, with careful attention to issues such as bias, privacy, and security. The objective of smart innovation is to develop and employ new technologies and systems that enhance our lives by making them more efficient, sustainable, and connected. Smart innovations can help overcome physical, social, and economic barriers by providing access to education, healthcare, and other essential services. Additionally, they can reduce our environmental impact by using resources more efficiently, cutting emissions and waste, and promoting sustainable practices. The proposed book aims to provide academics, entrepreneurs, managers, and practitioners with up-to-date, comprehensive, and rigorous research-based articles on the formation and implementation of effective strategies and business plans. It will also cover current studies on the nature, process, and practice of entrepreneurship and innovation in the development, implementation, and application of information technology globally.
