Introduction

Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) play a dual role in human health and disease, acting both as essential signaling molecules and as potential agents of cellular damage. Understanding the balance between their beneficial and harmful effects is crucial for comprehending various physiological processes and pathological conditions. This book aims to delve into the intricate dynamics of ROS, exploring their generation, regulation, and impact on human health and disease.

Objective

The primary objective of this book is to provide a comprehensive and up-to-date resource on the roles of ROS in human biology. It seeks to bridge the gap between basic research and clinical applications by presenting a wide range of topics from fundamental ROS biology to their implications in disease and therapeutic strategies. The book will serve as a valuable reference for researchers, clinicians, and students interested in the field of oxidative stress and its relevance to human health.

Target Audience

Researchers and scientists in the fields of biochemistry, molecular biology, and medicine Clinicians and healthcare professionals interested in the role of ROS in disease Graduate and postgraduate students studying oxidative stress and related topics Academicians and educators seeking comprehensive resources on ROS Pharmaceutical and biotechnology professionals involved in developing antioxidant therapies
