Introduction

The publication aims to amplify the voices and experiences of Hispanic and Latino scholars across the educational spectrum, from PreK to higher education, including areas such as Curriculum and Instruction, Superintendents, Supervisors, and Recruitment entities. It will also focus on mental health, specifically addressing Hispanic demographics and highlighting practicing counselors who can support the mental well-being of this community. The goal of this research is to illuminate strategies for supporting Hispanic and Latino students throughout their lives and fostering connections with various ethnic communities.

Objective

The book intends to share different and relevant aspects, approaches and strategies in how to support Hispanic & Latino students, parents, multi-ethnic communities, and Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs), all with a lens from Hispanic/Latino scholars, and individuals that work directly with these demographics.

Target Audience

The target audience will be composed of current PreK to 12 teachers, administrators, superintendents, Higher Education, Counseling & Mental Health advocates, Curriculum & Instruction professionals, Recruiting & Retaining Hispanic Teachers, Community advocates, etc. The book will provide scholarly research, management of expertise in schools, work with communities, and experiences.

Submission Procedure

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before September 1, 2024, a chapter proposal of 1,000 to 2,000 words clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by September 8, 2024 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines.Full chapters are expected to be submitted by October 6, 2024, and all interested authors must consult the guidelines for manuscript submissions at https://www.igi-global.com/publish/contributor-resources/before-you-write/ prior to submission. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-anonymized review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.

Note: There are no submission or acceptance fees for manuscripts submitted to this book publication, Hispanic Scholar Perspectives on Education and Wellbeing. All manuscripts are accepted based on a double-anonymized peer review editorial process.
