Introduction

The BRICS countries and the countries of the global south are showing new and alternative political and economic relations in parallel with the recent economic and social developments on a global scale. These unions and cooperation may change the global economic, financial, and political architecture. In this framework, analyzing and interpreting the consequences of the new economic and political relations between these countries is important in terms of defining the future of global cooperation and regional partnerships. In this vein, analyzing the economic and political collaborations, researching the benefits of international trade among the member countries and the Global South, interpreting common policies or diplomatic initiatives shaping their cooperation, as well as technological negotiations in different fields can be critical in understanding the performance of the BRICS, new members of BRICS, and the Global South countries. Finally, it is necessary to review how BRICS and Global South countries affect the economic and political balance at the global level and their role in international relations. In accordance with the content, different dimensions of the subject will be handled in every chapter of the book. It is expected to understand the economic, political, financial, and social reasons and consequences of the BRICS initiatives. This book analyses the economic, political, and international relations between the BRICS countries and the countries of the Global South to understand the performance of the BRICS organization in the near future.

After the Ukraine War, the world order has been experiencing new partnerships and unexpected political and economic development. Our book offers a different perspective in analyzing the economic and political relations of the BRICS members and the Global South countries. Also, this book will aim to provide relevant theoretical frameworks and the latest empirical research findings in the area.
