Call for Chapters

Introduction

Impact of ICTs on Event Management and Marketing book have been proposed as a source to explore the impact possibilities of new ICT technologies on event management and marketing. New ICT technologies have major impacts on almost all facets of hospitality and tourism-related businesses including hotels, restaurants and other tourism areas. While there seem to be many books and other written sources discussing the effects of these developments on tourism businesses, no source seems to be written on how these changes will affect Event Management and Marketing. Therefore, we believe, this source/book will be a good start to see how the changes in ICT technologies will impact this very important field in the tourism and hospitality industry. Some of the important topics we plan to cover in the book are; smart event management and marketing, contemporary issues in events, virtual and augmented reality in events, Internet of Things (IoT) in events, AI applications in event design and management, and so on.

Objective

This book will benefit event management students and professionals in many ways. They will be able to see the many opportunities to prepare more effective and efficient events using ICT technologies. They will be able to see the ICT opportunities for new product developments, and will also learn how to improve customer service so that to increase customer satisfaction. Since there is no similar book has been written on the subject, we believe publishing this book will fill an important gap in the field.

Target Audience

This book can be a good source for event management courses and event planners all over the world.
