Young Climate Activists Call Out United Nations for Their Lack of Action

By Brittany Haynes on Oct 17, 2019
According to a recent NBC News article, students are walking out of classrooms worldwide to demand action on climate change by global leaders. Known as the “FridaysforFuture” protests, this movement was sparked last year by Greta Thunberg, a Swedish teen climate activist, and has gained momentum after her recent speech at the United Nations in New York.

Her reprimanding speech geared at world leaders for their lack of action and the recent protests are in hopes that they take the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions more seriously for the future of children and the planet they inhabit. As this area of research continues to gain traction, find below the latest findings on topics related to climate change, greenhouse gas emissions, pollution, and sustainability.
