Lindsay Wertman Appointed as President of IGI Global Publishing House

Lindsay WertmanIGI Global, a leading international academic publisher of business, computer science, education, environmental, and social science research, has appointed Lindsay Wertman as its new President.
Lindsay’s transition into the President role offers IGI Global a breadth of experience, spanning editorial work, product development, and global marketing. She has been instrumental in fostering the exponential growth of the company’s publication portfolio and has played a key role in the implementation of many of the company’s products and publishing service offerings that are
available today.
Her diverse experience offers an unmatched awareness of the challenges and opportunities confronting academic publishing, which makes her perfectly poised to lead the strategic direction and vision of IGI Global in the areas of new product development, content strategy, ethics and inclusion, as well as image and branding.

Lindsay has held a variety of senior roles at IGI Global in her 15-year tenure. Starting in 2006 as an Editorial Assistant, her dedication and knowledge quickly garnered attention and earned her the opportunities to lead as Assistant Director of Editorial Content, Editorial Director, and then most recently serving as the Managing Director of IGI Global for more than 10 years.
During her spare time, Ms. Wertman often participates in different industry focus groups and committees, authors pieces for different industry publications, and serves as the Editorial Coordinator for the World Forgotten Children Foundation (WFCF) (a private non-profit foundation), while also enjoying being an active volunteer within her community and spending time with her husband and son.
