Dr. Joseph Tan and Prof. Thierry Oscar Edoh lead and disseminate knowledge in the field of health informatics

IGI Global Contributors Take on the International Rural and Elderly Health Informatics 2017 Conference

On Dec. 14-17, 2017, Dr. Joseph Tan (McMaster University, Canada) will be the keynote speaker at the International Rural and Elderly Health Informatics 2017 Conference (IREHI), which will be held at University Lome/Togo in West Africa. The focus of his talk will be on "Understanding the Impact of Social Networks Use on Aging & Loneliness." Dr. Thierry Oscar Edoh (Technical University of Munich, Germany), who is also an IGI Global contributor, kindly initiated and facilitated an established partnership between IGI Global and IREHI. Therefore, some of the participants at this upcoming conference will include renowned researchers from IGI Global and across the globe, including health informatics researchers from the industry, public health care bodies, as well as many other participants who want to transform rural and elderly healthcare.

Dr. Tan has edited and contributed to countless journals and books with IGI Global. At this conference, Dr. Tan will be a keynote speaker, and he will be featuring the title Healthcare Information Technology Innovation and Sustainability: Frontiers and Adoption (indexed in Scopus), which presents research in the emerging field of information systems and informatics in the healthcare industry. By addressing innovative concepts and critical issues through case studies and experimental research, this reference source is useful for practitioners, researchers and academics aiming to advance the knowledge and practice of these interdisciplinary fields of healthcare information.

He will also be highlighting the title International Journal of Healthcare Information Systems and Informatics (IJHISI), which disseminates current technological innovations and applications in the emerging field of information systems and informatics applications in the healthcare industry while directing frameworks to advancing healthcare and clinical practices and research. Dr. Edoh is not only a conference organizer/facilitator, but he is also a contributor to this particular journal. Additionally, IJHISI is indexed in Clarivate Analytics' prestigious Emerging Sources Citation Index, which reinforces the exceptional content of this publication.
