IGI Global Announces Recipient of the Academic Librarian Sponsorship for the 2014 Charleston Conference

Hershey, PA – November 12, 2013 – IGI Global, a leading publisher of scholarly publications and databases, continuously seeks to support the advancement of knowledge resources and services in academic libraries. As part of this initiative, we are proud to continue our Academic Librarian Sponsorship Program, which sponsors librarians’ attendance of the industry’s most important events.

In recognition of her outstanding achievements in the field of Library Information Science, IGI Global is pleased to honor Health Sciences and Nursing Librarian Carolyn Schubert of James Madison University with a $500 stipend for attendance of the 2014 Charleston Conference.

Held from November 6th-9th in Charleston, South Carolina, the 34th Annual Charleston Conference focused on issues in book and serial acquisition, focusing on the theme “The Importance of Being Earnest.” Visit the conference website here: http://www.katina.info/conference/.

Carolyn Schubert is the Health Sciences and Nursing Librarian at James Madison University. Her research interests include biomedical informatics, information literacy in undergraduate curriculum, and scholarly communication. Current projects include evaluation of student publishing platforms and effective technology integration into Nursing curriculum. She completed her Masters of Library and Information Science from San Jose State University and her Bachelors in Comparative Literature from the University of California, Irvine.
