“A must-have book for today’s educators who teach young learners or adults. This well-structured book provides rich content on a variety of topics that are of interest to educators including e-learning, e-mentoring, academic advising via virtual tools, pedagogical and andragogical teaching methods in online settings as well as age, gender, and cultural issues in online learning.

This book will bring experienced educators up-to-date on pedagogical and andragogical theories and it will allow the novice instructors benefit from highlights of how theory can be applied in both virtual teaching and learning environments." [...] "Undoubtedly a valuable addition to an educator’s library, whether he or she has an interest in using technology in instruction or not.”

Virtual Mentoring for Teachers: Online Professional Development Practices, by Jared Keengwe (University of North Dakota, USA) and Lydia Kyei-Blankson (Illinois State University, USA), was reviewed by David Herman, Graduate Assistant at Washington State University.

"This book addresses issues of teacher preparation, technology skills, social presence, facilitation, communication and feedback, differentiation of instruction, and assessment and evaluation. The authors provide current and relevant research, a strong balance of practice and theory, and practical, applicable suggestions." [...] "Well-written and accessible, useful for instructors of both online and blended higher education classes, those interested in exploring online instruction, and administrators who oversee online instruction."

Cases on Higher Education Spaces: Innovation, Collaboration, and Technology by Russell G. Carpenter (Eastern Kentucky University, USA); reviewed by Chon NeVille, Graduate Assistant at Washington State University:

“..Allows for deeper understanding within the framework of literacy and technology." [...] "An effective volume for students interested in some recent examples of school innovation, as well as technology and literacy instructors looking for specific studies of pedagogical expansion.”
