Mr. Darren Viollet Announced as IGI Global’s New Director of Sales for Asia-Pacific

darrenHershey, PA—August 8, 2019- IGI Global welcomes Mr. Darren Viollet as the new Director of Sales for Asia-Pacific. Through his new position, Darren will help disseminate access to IGI Global’s expanding portfolio of 5,300+ reference books and 185+ scholarly journals, with an extensive focus on IGI Global’s expansive line of InfoSci-Databases among libraries, consortium, and the Asia-Pacific research community.

With over 20 years of experience in working in the publishing and information service industry, he has worked with some of the world’s largest academic suppliers and aggregators across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific, enabling him to provide comprehensive research acquisition solutions with customized service.

"I enjoy meeting with customers whether it be to understand needs, challenge expectations, or share industry insights,” stated Mr. Viollet. “To ensure that I can continue to bring value beyond customer expectations, I am constantly learning, and I look forward to bringing my experience and insight to IGI Global.”

Acting as the key contact for library customers, stakeholders, and professional researchers within one of IGI Global’s fastest growing markets, Mr. Viollet will also work collaboratively with leading regional consortium including the Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL) and the Electronic Purchasing in Collaboration (EPIC), ensuring that IGI Global can provide the latest research to institutions throughout the Asia-Pacific.

Through Mr. Viollet’s experience and insights, as well as IGI Global’s deep regional pedigree (including 27,000+ contributions from Asia-Pacific scholars and notable institutions actively acquiring IGI Global research, such as Curtin University of Technology, Deakin University, University of Hong Kong Libraries, and Nanyang Technological University, and more), he will be able to provide institutions with the latest information regarding IGI Global along with customized information regarding libraries’ accounts.
