COVID-19 Update and Electronic Resources

Dear Librarians,

As you know, the COVID-19 pandemic is impacting the publishing and academic community in many ways, including canceled in-person classes and events, travel bans, workforce and supply shortages, and general isolation protocols. At IGI Global, we understand how essential the library’s role is during this pandemic crisis in serving the needs of students, faculty, and researchers by providing remote access to knowledge resources. We also recognize our own role in providing timely publications and support to the research and library communities. Therefore, we will continue to operate at full capacity while taking precautionary measures to ensure the safety of our dedicated staff, such as remote work and virtual meetings.

Throughout this pandemic, we are committed to safely producing and distributing quality research publications for our library customers and their patrons to access and utilize the following:

  • 50% Discount on All E-Books and E-Journals Ordered Through IGI Global*: To assist you in more easily and affordably providing your patrons with access to electronic resources during this difficult time, we’re offering our library customers the opportunity to obtain all IGI Global e-books and e-journals at a 50% discount when ordered through the IGI Global Online Bookstore*.     All IGI Global e-books and e-journals are hosted on the InfoSci® platform with unlimited simultaneous users, no DRM, remote access options, no embargo of content (electronic format is released months in advance of print), and no maintenance or archiving fees.

  • Print to Electronic Conversion Through Preferred Library Platforms: We’ll assist in converting your previously acquired IGI Global print holdings to electronic directly through our InfoSci® platform, ProQuest's Ebook Central®, or EBSCOhost. To take advantage of this assistance, send us a list of IGI Global publications you would like to convert, and we'll provide a 50% discount off the electronic version list price and promptly facilitate the setup and access.
    You may also contact your e-content providers’ representative to request print to electronic conversion special pricing.

  • Acquire IGI Global E-Books on Your Preferred Platform: For ease of acquisition, all IGI Global e-books are available through major industry platforms, including GOBI, OASIS, EBSCOhost, ProQuest’s Ebook Central, Dawson Books, and select IGI Global titles are available through Gale Virtual Reference Library (GVRL), Percipio, and Credo.
