Abstract

Over the past two decades, multiple robot deployments aimed at assisting elderly individuals in their homes have been tested. However, most concepts remain in the prototype phase, yet to be implemented practically. This research aims to explore the field's evolution, identifying barriers hindering robots from becoming household helpers and focusing on physical policy, distribution logic, assessing their capabilities. Previous studies identified six key capabilities which are research, identity verification, wireless interaction, manipulation, digital situatedness, and healthcare robots into three types like aid, alleviation, and response, assessing their impact on operators' daily lives. Lack of advancement and miscommunication between robotic platforms and intervention design hinder healthcare efficacy, this research also addresses these issues by taking a holistic approach to robot project deployment in healthcare, considering physical policy and rationality. The method integrates robots' ability to detect geriatric characteristics for a comprehensive assessment.
