Abstract

This study investigates the potential of experiential learning, an educational approach emphasizing hands-on experience and real-world application, to address this critical skills gap. In-depth interviews with education and workforce development experts yielded insights on the perceived effectiveness of experiential learning in fostering critical thinking skills. While experts highlighted its potential, challenges like scalability and resource constraints were also identified. Thematic analysis revealed additional benefits beyond critical thinking, such as enhanced communication and collaboration skills. The research also discusses the need for future studies to measure the long-term impact of experiential learning and explore effective strategies for faculty development and technology integration. By addressing these limitations and pursuing further research, this study paves the way for a future where experiential learning empowers graduates with the critical thinking skills necessary to succeed in the 21st century workplace.
