Introduction

In recent years, technology has been playing a crucial role in shaping the education system in various parts of the world. With the emergence of digital devices and innovative software, the traditional methods of teaching and learning have been significantly transformed. In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), there has been a growing interest in incorporating technology into legal education, as universities seek to enhance the quality of education and achieve better learning outcomes.

The subject of this research is “Technology-Enhanced Legal Education: A Study of Its Impact on Student Learning Outcomes in the UAE.” This research aims to investigate the use of technology in legal education in UAE universities and evaluate its impact on student learning outcomes. By examining the effectiveness of technology-enhanced legal education (Jadalhaq, Abdulhay, Alqodsi, & El Maknouzi, 2022), this research seeks to provide insights into how technology can be used to improve the quality of legal education in the UAE.

Several theories recommend the use of technology in legal education. The cognitive theory of multimedia learning, for example, suggests that the use of multimedia tools, such as videos, images, and animations, can enhance students' cognitive processes and promote deeper learning. The social learning theory, on the other hand, emphasizes the importance of collaborative learning and argues that technology can facilitate group work and peer-to-peer learning.

However, despite the potential benefits of technology in legal education, several obstacles and restrictions stand in the way. These include the lack of access to technology for some students, the resistance of some faculty members to change their teaching methods, and concerns about the quality of online learning compared to traditional classroom-based instruction.

In conclusion, the integration of technology in legal education has the potential to enhance the quality of education and improve student learning outcomes in the UAE.
