Abstract

A smart healthcare system is a need of the present world. Artificial intelligence, the internet of things, big data, etc. are essential technologies that build a smart and intelligent healthcare system. Deployment of a smart healthcare system not only serves diagnosis and treatment to more patients but also reduces the workload on health workers. Some patients face difficulties using the technology, which needs to be simplified. The most important issue in a smart healthcare system is cyber security. In smart healthcare systems, wearable devices and hospital management store patient information in digital format, which is available in cloud storage, which can be hacked, and it needs strong cyber security. With the development of technologies, smart healthcare systems can provide more intelligent and convenient applications and services. It can provide better service, self-health management, timely and appropriate medical service that can be accessed whenever needed, personalized medical service, improve the doctor-patient relationship, and reduce the cost of services.

Background

Smart health service system uses intelligent technology such as AI and signals processing that helps in diagnosing and treatment of different types of diseases like cancer, epilepsy, autism, schizophrenia, etc. (Singh et al., 2015; Mandal et al., 2021; Shahamiri & Thabtah, 2020; Tikka et al., 2020). It also helps to provide an alternative option to the patients having a physical disability due to a paralysis attack or any accident. There is much research has done and ongoing in the field of biomedical technology, which improves the medical system. In the era of technology, biomedical technology has made biomedical chips and some wearable devices that monitor our health and store the data for future reference, which help to understand our body more deeply (Baker et al., 2017). Smart healthcare and intelligent medical system use intelligent technology such as AI, machine learning, big data, IoT to improve the service. Smart healthcare and intelligent system help users to aware and educated about their medical status as well as keep them healthy by providing suggestions. Smart healthcare assists the user to manage some emergencies by themselves. It improves the quality of service for patients and makes it more convenient at a low cost. Smart healthcare uses the latest technologies to their maximum potential so that it utilizes the available sources. With the cooperation of smart medical systems, doctors can monitor the condition of patients anywhere and provide services to their patients without any geographical barriers. With the increase of smart devices and technology, the HLC system becomes more intelligent and smart that helps every person from children to the elderly to make a living healthy.
