Abstract

Cancer accounts for a large number of fatalities each year. Cervical cancer is a type of cancer that starts in the cervix. . Cervical cancer is very curable and linked to a long survival and high quality of life when detected early. Cervical cancer can be prevented by screening tests, such the Pap smear test is used to identify precancerous stages. Nonetheless, there are a few disheartening drawbacks to the Pap smear test that includes its poor slide preparation and high rate of human error. Consequently, a computer-aided diagnosis system is presented as a fix for the issue. Artificial intelligence has been employed over the healthcare industry recently, greatly facilitating accurate diagnosis and the widespread use of medical networks. Artificial intelligence plays a crucial role in the early diagnosis of cervical cancer. Cervical cancer is classified as normal or abnormal using deep learning and machine learning techniques. This chapter proposes prediction of cervical cancer associating machine learning classifiers for the publicly available data set based on risk factors.
