Abstract

The Internet of Things is a term that enables all objects in the world to be connected to the world wide web and each other to transmit and receive data and execute all tasks via an internet connection. The availability of handheld applications for medicine and healthcare on mobile devices has permitted the development of novel aspects of the provision of healthcare services. In addition, the development of modern technology like robots and machine learning, as well as the simple transfer and dissemination of medical information, make it possible through the internet. The medical healthcare system has to be improved through the employment of connected services together with rapidly developing technology (including online computing, remote detection, the World Wide Web of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, and portable technology). In this chapter, we will explore IoT devices for healthcare along with applications for IoT-based healthcare systems, as well as review recent studies in this field.
