Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationships between policymaking and strategies for socio-ecological, environmental, and green socio-technological innovation. The analysis departs from the assumption that the environment of a socio-ecological and socio-technological innovation can be fostered by policymaking and strategies aimed to provide the transformation of pure research on scientific knowledge into innovative commercial products and services. The method employed is analytic-reflective based on the theoretical and empirical literature review. It is concluded that policymaking and strategies accelerate the creation and development processes of socio-ecological, environmental, and green socio-technological innovation.

Background

Scientific knowledge on the innovation of socio-ecological economic development using methods for science and technology policies in aggregated economic models have been developed by Heets & Seminozhenko (2006), Klebanova & Kizima (2010), Kleiner (2013), Ayvazyan et al. (2012) and others. Socio-ecological innovation for economic development supports individual and group creativity to create and develop technologies to market more effectively (Marxt & Brunner, 2012). Research and development have integrated mathematical models, methods, and innovation technologies to make decisions, forecast and manage the dynamics of socio-ecological, economic, and socio-humanitarian systems under conditions of uncertainty, complexity, and risk. The integrated models used to approach socio-ecological-economic and humanitarian systems are supported by the emerging concept of sustainable development as the combination of the economic, social, and environmental dimensions framed by knowledge creation, technology innovation and other factors influencing the environment and the structure of economic growth (Heets &Seminozhenko, 2006; Ramazanov, 2018; Babenko et al., 2019; Solou, 2002).
