Abstract

This study aims to identify the influence of using gamification on the interaction of Palestine Technical University Kadoorie (PTUK) students in an online environment. The research questions are: what are the perceptions of interaction of PTUK students assessed in this study? Is there a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (∝ ≤0.05) in the arithmetic means of overall interaction scores of PTUK students while using gamification according to gender and college type? The researcher used a pre-existing questionnaire as an instrument for the study. The study sample consisted of 250 PTUK college students from different disciplines. The results showed that there is a high degree of overall interaction while using gamification. In light of the findings of this study, the researcher recommends creating gamified environments which improve student–teacher interaction and collaborative learning in group activities.
