Abstract

In this chapter, a low cost compact flexible textile antenna is presented that has low cost due to partial ground plane, and the anticipated antenna is suitable for different wireless applications. The proposed antenna is utilized as a line feed and simulated from 2GHz to 8GHz frequency. The impedance bandwidth of proposed antenna is 106.30% at -10 dB reflection coefficient. The anticipated design simulated with CST software to achieve directivity at resonant frequency 3.2 GHz is 3.609dBi and at 4.8 GHz is 4.519 dBi.

2. Antenna Design

The lower part of antenna structure is partial and made by pasting copper tape on the lower surface of jeans substrate. The reduced ground is ultimately provides large bandwidth. The antenna is very compact and light weight with ground dimension of 15.5mm×50mm and substrate dimensions are 50mm×50mm. The substrate height (h) is selected 1.0 mm having dielectric constant of 1.7. Initially the inner circle slot has been cut to improve bandwidth and after that one square slot in upper side and one square slot in lower side provide expected better frequency range and large bandwidth. The feed line dimension is 2x16mm that plays very important role in enhancement of bandwidth also less copper is needed to manufacture (Singh et. al, 2015 & Srivastava et. al, 2015 & Singh, Kabeer Singh, Ali, 2013 & Singh et. al, 2014 & Dubey et. al, 2018.
